Iaconelli Finishes 4th at Guntersville and Breaks 100 lbs. Again

Iaconelli, along with Kevin Wirth (3rd 102lbs. 3oz.), Skeet Reese (2nd 104lbs. 4oz.) and Aaron Martens (1st 107lbs. 8oz.) caught over 100 lbs. over 4 days at Lake Guntersville in the STA-BIL Southern Challenge.

Iaconelli concluded with his lowest weight of the 4 day event (20lbs. 15oz.), but was one of only 4 anglers to catch over 20lbs. all four days (Reese, Wirth and Menendez were the others). A nearly 30lb. catch catapulted Wirth into third, and a nearly 28lb. bag pushed Reese into 2nd. A difficult day on the water for Martens made the finishing weights a great deal closer than expected.

This fourth place finish pushes Mike into 9th place in the AOY standings (182 points behind leader Kevin VanDam). The top 12 in the AOY standings will qualify for the 2009 BASS postseason.
