Iaconelli Scores another top 10 BASS Finish at Northern Open

In the first BASS Northern Open event of the year, Iaconelli landed 29lbs. 6oz. for 8th place. This was the first BASS event in the Chesapeake Bay since Ken Cook won the Bassmaster Classic there in 1991.

Weights varied wildly, with 18lbs. separating Mike from the winner Dave Mansue, who finished with 47lbs. 6oz. Many well-rounded and seasoned angler zeroed at the event, and nearly 3/4 of the field finished with less than 10lbs. Furthermore BASS reported only 15 limits, with no angler catching a limit on all three days. Mike caught 3 fish each day, and those fish averaged over 3lbs. each.

Iaconelli begins The Blue Ridge Brawl presented by Advance Auto Parts, the 4th event of the Elite Series regular season this Thursday, April 25th on Smith Mountain Lake, where Iaconelli finished 18th in 2007, 19th in 2006, and 8th in 2004.
