Iaconelli in Hunt for 2005 Bassmaster Classic Title
Day 1 of the Bassmaster Classic on the three rivers in Pittsburgh was short on long fish. Lots of fish caught, but most didn't make the 12 inch limit. Ike brought 4 fish to the scales, landing him in 7th place, with Tim Horton. Both anglers had 4lbs. 7oz. Ike caught his fish using strictly finesse tactics, all light line, and scaled-down lures.
Jimmy Mize leads with 6lbs. 2oz., followed by a tie for second between Stacey King and Angler-of-the-Year Aaron Martens. Preston Clark, Kevin Vandam, and Skeet Reese followed, with 4lbs. 14oz. 4lbs. 11oz. and 4lbs. 10oz. respectively.
Mike is positioned well to make the cut to 25 anglers after day 2. To the left Mike is pictured monkeying around with his daughters and showing his Pittsburgh Pirates support after the Day 1 weigh-in.
