Hot Summer BASS Cheat Code!! Going Ike Bass Fishing Video

Deeper. Thicker. Current.
Say it out loud.
Repeat it in your head.
This is the Summertime Mantra.
This is the Cheat Code to catching bass when the heat gets stupid.

In this episode of Going Ike, I’m out in the Wilderness Systems Tactical Pro 128-my go-to kayak for power fishing-and I’m grinding through brutal summer conditions: 95° air, 88° water, zero wind, high sun. It’s miserable.
And it’s perfect.

Because when you know where to look…
You can still smash ’em.

This is the summer code I live by:
Deeper - Cooler water, more oxygen, bait hanging deep, and big bass stacked.
Thicker - Mats, laydowns, docks, lily pads. Shade is life. Lily pads? Sunbrellas for bass.
Current - Flow means cooler water, steady food, and ambush zones for aggressive fish.

These three zones all have one thing in common:
OXYGEN. FOOD. SHADE.
That’s what the bass are hunting when the water’s boiling.

Whether I’m frogging mats, flipping wood, or dead-sticking a soft stick bait in 7-8 feet, this is my go-to strategy when it’s hot as hell-and it works everywhere.

Say it. Beat it in. Fish it.
DEEPER. THICKER. CURRENT.
