Square Bill SECRETS That Make Bass Bite! Bass Fishing Video

Folks at home, today we’re talking SQUAREBILLING! This is one of my all-time favorite ways to power fish for bass, and I’m breaking down some of the little secrets I’ve learned over the years that can help you trigger bites — even when those fish don’t want to eat.

Squarebilling has been around forever, but there’s a lot more to it than throwing a crankbait out and winding it back. How that bait moves and changes direction can be the difference between getting ignored and getting crushed.

In this episode I’m breaking down the entire system — choosing the right size and color, matching the hatch, fishing different conditions, how I work a squarebill around cover, and what I do when there’s nothing around for that bait to hit.

I’m also getting into my complete squarebilling setup — rod action and length, reel speed, line size, fluorocarbon vs. monofilament, and why I almost never throw a squarebill on braid.

If you want to get better at squarebilling and learn how I use these baits to trigger reaction strikes, this one is loaded with little details that can put more bass in the boat.

CHANGE DIRECTION. MAKE ’EM BITE!
