Behind the Classic with Billy Strings! | Bassmaster Madness! Bass Fishing Video

I didn’t qualify for the Bassmaster Classic this year, but that didn’t stop me from having an absolutely epic weekend! I got to fish in a celebrity tournament with Billy Strings, hang out at the Ike Foundation Kids event, and even check out a mullet contest with a surprise Eagles fan!

One of the best parts was getting to see so many of my friends, catch up with old buddies, and check out some really cool new gear. I ran into Hood Fishing, Dave Mercer, Matty Wong, and a bunch of Bassmaster legends – it was like a reunion of some of the best anglers in the game!

The highlight for me was definitely the Ike Foundation Kids event. We gave away hundreds of Flambeau tackle boxes and my signature Dude rod and reel combos to the kids, hoping to encourage them to live a life of fishing. Some of my best core memories as a kid were growing up around the water, and I know that just one tackle box or rod could be the spark that gets a young angler hooked for life. That’s way more important to me than winning any tournament.

I also gotta give a big thanks to Becky and the Girls of the Ike Foundation for all that they do – not just to get kids fishing, but for helping me keep my stuff together every single day. I couldn’t do it without them!
