PRE-SPAWN RIVER MADNESS! Kayak Smallmouth on the SUSKY!! Bass Fishing Video

This was one of those special days on the water - an absolute pre-spawn smashfest on the upper Susquehanna River!

I took Vegas the Hammer out in the kayaks to chase some pre-spawn smallmouth, and right away we found 'em stacked up at the mouth of a creek. Water temps were hovering in the upper 40s, but the air hit 80 - and when that sun popped, the bite exploded.

This was the maiden voyage of my Wilderness Systems Tactical Pro 128, powered by the Newport NK300, and it handled that Susky current like a dream. Vegas ran the NK180 Pro on his rig and was in full hammer mode from the jump.

We caught a pile of smallmouth on jigs, microjigs, and other finesse gear - but the action was anything but finesse. It was so good_ I made camera guy Charles put down the camera and fish - and he ended up catching his PB smallmouth bag!
