Susky Flats: How to Find a Needle in a Grass Stack Bass Fishing Video

Subscribe on YouTube

Folks at home, welcome to GRASS CLASS.

In this episode of Going Ike, we head to the legendary Susky Flats to break down one of the most intimidating things in bass fishing… giant grass flats.

When you’re staring at miles and miles of milfoil, hydrilla, eel grass, and river grass, how do you actually find the bass? Today we’re figuring out how to find the needle in a grass stack.

We start with zero waypoints and no history for the day. Instead, we let the fish tell the story by covering water, reading subtle changes in the grass, and dialing in the key depth, conditions, and grass composition that hold big postspawn bass.

The biggest lesson? Don’t get intimidated. Listen to the fish and let them tell you the pattern.

Hope you enjoy this episode of Going Ike!
