The Best Finesse Fisherman I Know | Testing the NEW Flux Gill w/ BFS Jimmy RAWR Bass Fishing Video

In this episode of Going Ike, I team up with my buddy Jimmy from Rawr Fishing—one of the best bait finesse anglers on the planet—to put the NEW Berkley MaxScent Flux Gill through its paces. I picked Jimmy for this one because finesse is his world, and I wanted to see how this bait performs when pushed to the limit by a true BFS guy.
What started years ago with both of us being fans of each other’s channels turned into friendship—and now, collaboration. On a windy day at Lake X, we chase everything that swims: bluegill, pickerel, crappie, and of course, a big ol’ bass that proves what this little bait can do.
Now, here’s the thing—I love the wind. Most people hate it. They hide from it. They call it “unfishable.” But I’m telling you, wind is a bite trigger. It breaks up the surface, moves bait, adds oxygen, and fires the big ones up. The tougher it gets, the better I like it. And on this day, the Flux Gill absolutely shined in that chop.
There’s a reason why I fish with who I fish with. Why my camera guys are fishermen. Why all the ladies in my office are straight-up hammers. It’s because we think like fish—and fish swim in schools! My buddy Jimmy is the perfect example of that. The guy doesn’t just cast—he thinks. He breaks down water, patterns fish, and feels the bite before it happens. That’s why I wanted him next to me while testing this bait.
The Flux Gill’s subtle movement and MaxScent flavor triggered bites even in rough conditions, and Jimmy’s finesse precision showed how versatile this bait really is. This one’s part gear test, part friendship story—two anglers geeking out on fishing, finesse, and fun.
