Bluebird skies killed the BITE! Still Got 2ND!! | Going Ike Bass Fishing Video

In this Going Ike episode, we’re taking you on the water with Vegas Iaconelli as he competes in the NJ Bass Nation Juniors tournament on Swartswood Lake. Conditions were about as tough as they get—bright bluebird skies, high pressure, and finicky bass that didn’t want to play.

Even so, Vegas adjusted, stayed focused, and managed to put together solid keepers for a 2nd place finish. You’ll see the fish catches that made the difference, and get a front-row seat to what it’s like competing as a young angler in Bass Nation.

This tournament is a reminder that fishing isn’t always about perfect conditions or giant limits—it’s about fishing the moment, making the most of what the day gives you, and never letting tough bites take you out of the game.

Big congratulations to Vegas for grinding it out and showing what persistence on the water really looks like.
