Iaconelli Finishes 7th at OPTIMA Batteries Battle on the Border

After cordially sharing a spot they both found in practice with James Niggemeyer for the first 3 days, Niggemeyer finished at 15th after day 3, narrowly missing the cut for day 4. With the spot to himself, Ike only managed 13lbs. 7oz. on the final day. Even with his smallest bag of the tournament, Ike still managed a 7th place finish at the opening event of the 2009 Bassmaster Elite Series. That finish brought his record to an astonishing 10 top ten finishes among his last 11 Bassmaster and FLW Outdoors tournaments.
